- ‘Man is a creation of God in his divine image and character. Therefore he loves to live in peace and order with his fellowmen. Discuss with reference to the views of philosophers for and against.
- What is the role of the judiciary in Nigeria?
- a. Chief Chop Chop was declared wanted by the EFCC over charges of corruption whilst he was Governor of Kaduna State. He was later arrested in Bayelsa State and charged to the Federal High Court, Yenagoa on 52 counts of corruption. Advise him on the jurisdiction of the Court to hear the matter.
b. You cannot put something on nothing and expect it to stand. It will collapse. Discuss in connection with the issue of jurisdiction.
- In Nigeria, legal aid is only available under the Constitution. Discuss.
- The application of customary law is fraught with problems. Discuss.
- The Supreme Court is not final because it is infallible; it is infallible because it is final. Discuss.
- Jackie would like to institute a suit against Lymie for trespass. Advise him on the different modes of instituting civil actions and the mode most suitable for his purpose.
- There is a clear distinction between ownership and possession of land. Discuss in terms of the traditional conception of land and developed systems of land law.
Discuss the origin of the rule of law.
