QUESTION ONE (a) State the two (2) perspectives from which the production process can be viewed. 10 marks

(a) For a chosen production model to be effective, a suitable production processing system or model must be chosen, because a production processing system that is suitable for the manufacturing of a ship or an aircraft will not be suitable for the production of biscuits or ball-point pens. Discuss two systems known to you. 7 ½ marks each

QUESTION THREE The wider definition of production is referred to as Operations. Why should production be defined in the wider sense? 15 marks

QUESTION FIVE (a) Every organization must have a guideline/policy on production. What should be the aim or contents of such a policy or guideline? 6 marks
