QUESTIONS:

1. (a) Remove law from the society or from the world system the entire world system or the   

       society will be in anarchy or it will be the survival of the fittest. Discuss

  (b)  Differentiate between Judicial precedent that is stare decisis and res judicata. 25 Marks

2. Justice according to John Rawls is the first virtue of social institution, as truth is a system of thought’ In the light of the foregoing statement what do you understand the concept of justice, morality and religion? Explain four types of justice.15 marks

3. According to Lord Denning ‘In orderthat an act should b punishable as a crime, it must be morally blameworthy. It must be a sin. But Lord Coleridge said that the absolute divorce of law from morality would be of fatal consequences’.  What is the relationship between Law and morality and analyse the distinction between law and morality if any? 15 marks

4. Explain at least five qualities of a Nigerian legal practitioner and his five duties to the courts in Nigeria. 15 marks

5. With the aid of judicial authorities, discuss the rules of interpretation by courts.

Identify and explain the factors that may lead to resistant of social change.15 marks

6.  Discuss the nitty- gritty of Hohfeldian concept of rights and the relations between duties and liabilities. 15 marks
