1a.      Give a detailed definition of an editorial as an instrument of communication, showing how it should appeal to people of all persuasions.

b.        What are the similarities and distinctions between editorials and ordinary news stories?

2a.      Of what relevance is public opinion to editorial writing?

b.        Some fundamental attributes distinguish editorial from other tools of communication. Show them in an elaborate discussion.

3a.      What are those existing sources editorial writers rely on while performing their duties?

b.        Show the qualities editorial writers must have in order to perform their functions effectively and creditably.

4a.      Explain the relationship between persuasion and editorials.

b.         Present those persuasive techniques good editorial writers must bring to bear on their writing.

5a.      Name and discuss at least seven propaganda techniques available to editorial writers.

b.         Present the organizational structure of an editorial and also show how good knowledge of the structure is an asset to editorial writers.
