2. Question 1 is compulsory and carries 30 marks, while the other 2 questions carry 20 marks each.

1   (a)  Define the word “SYSTEM” with an example.

     (b) The systems school of thought in management has four identifiable shortcomings. Enumerate and discuss these shortcomings.

2.         There are many schools of thought on the study of management.  Each school of thought views management from different perspective. Write short notes on the under-listed four management schools of thought:

• Behavioural school
• Empirical school
• Decision Theory school
• Management process school

3.  (a)  Does the term  “Organizational Behaviour” means that an organization can behave like a human being? Discuss

      (b) Write short notes on the three elements that interact within an organization

4.   (a) Why are organizations regarded as social systems?

       (b)            What do you understand by “Mutual Interest” with respect to the establishment of an Organization.                        

5.         Do you agree with the statement which says that “a satisfied worked is a productive worker”?  Discuss in detail.
