ABSTRACT
This work is a study of organizational communication and job satisfaction in Akwa Ibom Newspaper Corporation (AKNC), Uyo. The work sets out to uncover the relationship between organizational communication and job satisfaction. Based on this, survey was chosen as the research methodology and the instrument for data collection were questionnaire and interview. Apart from reason given above, the study makes an effort to determine what kind of information would spur to greater heights. What may think is lacking in the management system as regards incentives, staff welfare etc. employees response to information is also looked into, the objectives being to discover how patterns flow of communication positively influences job satisfaction among workers. Chapter 1 gives a brief rundown of the problems and its setting, including the background of the organization. The next chapter reviewed works of scholars in organizational communication and job satisfaction and performances, and the role these two variables are expected to play in organization. The next chapter is research methodology and presentation of findings. A full discussion of the findings and its implication is carried out in chapter four the issues raise problems, the interview data and finding. The study concludes in chapter five with a called for welfare scheme to be pursued to create a better or conducive working climate, manpower is also needed and a modern printing machine for today’s newspapers. This taking place, the employees will have a sense of belonging putting in the best for achieving common goals in the organization.
